I think the durpul was a lot nicer than vbulletin and ya'll change it back to vbulletin after sora did all this work. The durpal looked a lot more professional than this and always will. Vbulletin is way to overused and is very generic even with layouts. Change back.

Everybody's thoughts?

It will take me about 30 seconds to swap the sites out if you want me to. Stick with drupal or vbulletin?

With a little work, Durpal would be just fine, and even in the state it was in, it would work ok. However, I feel like vBulletin is a bit more user friendly, and more importantly, familiar to the average user. People who register are more likely to want to post regularly to a system they are familiar with rather than learning the intricacies of a new system. That is my only real argument for one versus the other. Otherwise it is a wash assuming a few aesthetics are tweaked in Durpal.

Here's my one and only concern with Drupal: The looks and feel of the forums. I don't like the small and cluttered feel the advanced forums have, and I don't like that the forums themselves function more so on code than on templates/images. I'm a graphics artist, not a programmer or coder. I'm also a full time student and am writing my first novel. I don't have the time to learn CSS or HTML anytime soon, nor am I willing to do it within the next 6 months. I had uploaded two layouts I had worked on for drupal, but they don't show up. If Sora could figure out how to get them to work and allow me to view them I'd be more open to using drupal in it's entirety. But forums and websites go hand in hand for me, and for me to look forward to a site it must have a forum that's easy, fun, and nice to look at. I'm not particularly fond of very plain, black and white/blue and white layouts either (as should be obvious from the custom layouts I make for vBulletin.)

I do, however, like the way drupal handles in all site-oriented stuff, and whatever we do I would prefer full integration. However, again, looks is an extremely high priority of mine, as is functionality and the overall "feeling". The ability to "expand" the forum to take up a full page would be nice too. And I personally like vBulletin over all other forums, regardless of what we use.

Again, it must look good, I must be able to edit it with ease (I don't have the time nor patience at the moment to learn a new language), and it must be fun to use.
