Question: Why does the name "The Pheonix Templar" completely ignore the concept of subject-object agreement?

Ciel

It's just a name dude. Like Knights Templar.

Now, if you wanted "The Phoenices Templar" it would make more grammatical sense. It would still seem a bit odd to me... an order of knights that rose again...

Technically that's what we would be. We are all members of dead groups. Some of us were members of the Jedi of Light. Others of us were from different groups which were either alive and well a few years ago, or are still around but have been reduced to a few members and are operating rarely, if at all. The whole rename is meant to represent a new beginning, but still hold meaning for everyone involved. That's what I was going for.

Initially I wanted to have 5 options, and each day would be an elimination round till one remained. However, no one could agree on anything. Jon has a phobia of anything that has the words Order, Knights, Guard, Guardians, etc. in their name. He thinks that, because a guild from, say, World of Warcraft would be able to use the name, we should therefore avoid the name like the plague. Sora dislikes similar names, though for different reasons. He just seems to dislike anything remotely related to medieval terminology.

Here is what would have originally been in the lineup:
Knights of Valor
Knights of Light
The Rising Flame
The Praetori
The Gazers

I had also thrown around the concept of calling ourselves "Fates" or "Celestials", which would tie the group to a novel I'm writing.

Point being practically everything I suggested that I felt would be a good course of action the people who showed up for the meetings disagreed with, except for Shehanigan. Outside of the meeting, Sniper, Pojo, and most of the other members liked the names. Other names were also suggested by various members, but they were not too popular either.
