Cerberus has some new staff positions available. To apply for a position please respond to this thread. I already know all of you well enough not to know any additional information.

POSITIONS:

1. Recruiter - As a recruiter you will spend a good amount of time trying to convince people that they should join Cerberus for our forums or any of our supported (officially, such as Battlefield, or unofficial, such as League of Legends) groups. Joining sites such as IGN or GameSpot are good ideas, as is joining official game and developer websites. You could also make fliers and post them around your school, workplace (if allowed), etc. Each member you convince to register on the site is a victory. This is probably the easiest of all jobs. Note that leaders/officers of our clans are expected to spend some time as a recruiter for their group anyway, only this particular staff position specializes on recruiting.

2. Events Manager - If you are interested in coming up with an event every week or two weeks which every (or mostly every) member of Cerberus should be able to attend provided to set aside time for it, this is the position you seek. Event Managers scout the net for free to play games, mods, etc. that should be playable by all. This position should be fun, however it does require that you have good time management skills and are capable of organizing people. You should attend any groups you plan and not get bent out of shape if the event fails for whatever reason.

3. News Poster - If you find yourself scouting the net for the latest game news, game reviews, etc., you will love this position. You will be given access to our news editor and will be able to post up the news you find interesting. An example would be that iPad gizmo that launched not too long ago, or a new game. You can gripe about the latest Uwe Bol film, comment on the latest survivor episode, or write a tips and tricks post on a favorite game of yours. In other words, a few days out of each week you write about what you want to write, provided it's something the rest of us should find interesting. Just consider your target audience and go from there. This position requires that you have good grammar and spelling. Please proofread and use spell check! I will torture you for the rest of your life if you get there mixed with their!

Those are the positions! Notice how none of them are admin, nothing is titled content creator or anything of that sort, and each positions is pretty simple and easy. We're a clan now, not a "must get everyone" community. It makes our jobs easier and more laid back. That was one of the reasons for the change from MPGN.

We don't need any addition administrators or anything. We'll worry about that when/if we get larger. You may apply for multiple positions or just one. Please note however that I will expect there to be at least one event every two weeks, and at least three news posts a week. These are not time consuming positions and are not hard. The recruiting position relies more on you paying attention to wherever it is you're trying to get members, so it's about like keeping up with a forum. In any case, I hope at least one of you applies, lol.

Well, I have thought about it long and hard, and I'd like to be a news poster and to be an events manager (at least for BFBC2).

Alright. You already have Smod status meaning you can already post up news posts. On the main page just click on "Create New Article", type it up as though it were a forum post and then check Yes for published.
